Taxes and Stuff

“Taxes are the lifeblood of the nation”– this is the most common reason why a state or a nation collect taxes when we study taxation. I don’t know if I could remember it right, but that’s the first lesson in taxation that we tackled in college. Here in the US, the collection of taxes are strictly implemented. And that’s fine because I trust that the government would use it for the benefit of every citizen. It’s just so sad that there are 3rd world countries who collect taxes yet, the taxes are not used for the benefit of the people, hence, the taxes collected are corrupted by the states officials. I just hope and pray that these unethical practices would be corrected in the near future.
